Silambam is a weapon-based Indian martial art from Tamil Nadu. There are about 18 different styles of silambam practiced and we inherit Thuluk Kanam style.
SILAMBAM is included in RDS/BDS, SGFI, Khelo India Competitions. All India Silambam Federation(AISF) is the National Federation recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Tamilnadu Amateur Silambam Association (TNASA) is the official member of AISF and is recognized by Sports Development Authority of Tamilnadu (SDAT). Puducherry Silambam & Adimurai Association (PSAA) is the recognized member of AISF for Puducherry Union Territory.
VAYMA is affiliated to CDASA for Cuddalore District and other respective Districts(Ariyalur, Perambalur, Villupuram) of Tamilnadu. Also for Puducherry VAYMA is affiliated with PSAA.
